These are pictures of Rochester. Most are old postcards and a few other photos.
You should note that old postcards are "colorized" and some artistic licence was taken in adding colors to buildings. Other alterations such as painting out telephone poles or adding people or autos are often taken to make the postcard more interesting.
Under each postcard is the description of the scene as listed on the card. Then also are listed a publication date, the manufacturer and the number listed on the card. Click on the "thumbnails" to view each picture.
Early postcards were often printed in Germany as color lithography was developed in Germany.
